Kristin Hoffmeister received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona in 2009. Her research is focused on bioarchaeology and skeletal biology, specifically aiming to reconstruct ancient diet and health among the Maya of Central America. Kristin has participated in field excavations in Belize and collected skeletal data from the archaeological site of Paso de la Amada in Chiapas, Mexico. In addition, Kristin spent several summers with the Arizona State University Archaeological Field School in Kampsville, Illinois, where she worked as a Teaching Assistant in the bioarchaeology laboratory.
