First Year In the Program

Before arriving at Texas A&M, Morgan received his BA from the University of West Florida. Morgan is currently interested in researching Paleoindian lithic technological organization and settlement in the Southeast United States. His other research interests include GIS applications in archaeology, organic tool technologies, and geoarchaeology. His current research focuses on inundated First Americans sites in Florida. He has recently conducted preliminary investigations at the Ryan-Harley site in north Florida which will be the focus of his dissertation. Morgan hopes the site will reveal more information about regionalization trends following the initial peopling of the Americas. Morgan also works for the National Parks Service as an archaeological technician and has performed fieldwork across the Southeast.
