Alexandra Yap ’13
- The Richards Group Dallas TX
Whether swimming with whale sharks in the Gulf of Mexico or zip-lining over the Pacific Ocean, Alex is always looking for an adventure – which is why the ever-changing world of advertising and public relations is a perfect fit for this jet-setter.
While attending Texas A&M University, Alex gained experience writing news features for the College of Liberal Arts dean’s office. After graduating a year early, Alex landed a brand management internship at The Richards Group. She then packed her bags and moved to Washington, D.C., for four months, where she worked as a reporter and social media maven for Hearst Newspapers during the 2012 presidential election.
Since then, Alex has been a member of the The Richards Group’s cause branding team, channeling her high-octane energy into building visibility for clients such as Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Reunion Tower, and Klyde Warren Park.
In her free time, Alex enjoys dancing, spending time with her family, and plotting her next excursion.
Alexandra has expertise in public relations and brand management.
