Bio

Delaney Catalina Couri is a third-year PhD student at Texas A&M studying equity, social justice, religion, music, and the LGBTQ+ community. They also have an interest in interdisciplinary fields of study and the higher education system in the United States. Delaney has been a Texas A&M student since 2015, receiving both their undergraduate and graduate degrees from the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University. Throughout the past six years, Delaney has been involved in various projects and student organizations on campus working to further the cause of anti-racism on campus. Beginning with an undergraduate research project on diversity requirements, Delaney has served with the Student Government Association’s Diversity Committee, the College of Education and Human Development’s Social Justice Collective, and the Difficult Dialogues Project. Off-campus, Delaney enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, practicing yoga, pursuing various artistic outlets, attending church, and walking the city, taking in the sites and sounds of the so-called “biggest small town in America.” They find the most joy in community with others and are very close with family, friends, and their cat, each of whom motivates Delaney to be the best they can be.
