Bio

After graduating in 2003 (there’s nothing wrong with a Victory Lap!) with a BA in Communications and a minor in Psychology, Josh and his wife, Christine, moved to Los Angeles. There he worked in the Human Resources field at two different companies. First was Idealab, an incubator/start-up company focused on green initiatives, Robotics & Website technologies. After that, he worked for Sony Pictures Entertainment, a Movie, Television and Animation Studio. In 2010, Josh moved back to Dallas to own and operate a small Landscaping & Construction company before a brief stint with Ernst & Young in their Human Capital Practice. He also worked as the Compensation Manager at Overhead Door Corporation and at Brinker International (NYSE: EAT), which owns and operates two restaurant chains: Chili’s Grill & Bar and Maggiano’s Little Italy.

Currently, he is the Vice President of Global Total Rewards at Ryan LLC (ryan.com).  Ryan is a professional services and tax consulting firm which has a global headquarters in Dallas, and provides an integrated suite of tax services on a multi-jurisdictional basis.  Ryan employs over 3,000 professionals, serving 15,000 clients across 50 countries.

In his current role, he leads the global compensation and benefit teams for the company. Josh has worked in most areas of the Human Resources Function, including Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Analytics, Recruiting and Executive Compensation and has led teams overseeing multi-million dollar global bonus programs and has designed new HR systems, processes and policies. Josh’s experiences in the start-up and public environment bring an understanding of corporate culture and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal situations in companies of all sizes.

While at Texas A&M, Josh spent all the time he could giving of himself to the “other education” by serving in various leadership roles within Fish Camp, Impact, Spring Leadership Trip (SLT), Aggie Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT), Aggie Men’s Club, and others. His love for and devotion to Texas A&M is strong and unwavering. Josh currently resides in Dallas with his wife Christine Lipscomb, class of 2001, and his daughters – Waverly, class of 2036, Violet, class of 2038, and Chase, class of 2041. When he’s not working, Josh loves being with his family and friends, volunteering with Young Life and his local church, traveling, watching movies, hunting, fishing, playing and watching sports.

Josh has expertise in the area of professional services.
