Kristen grew up in Brenham, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M in 2007, a first generation Aggie. Her degree is in Communication, with a double minor in International Studies and English. She worked as a bresearch assistant to many Communication professors during her time at Texas A&M. She was also involved in many organizations including the Pre-Law Society, Big Event and Replant.
After graduation from Texas A&M, she attended law school at the University of Houston and graduated with her J.D. in 2010. During her time at UH, she was a research assistant for Dr. Richard Alderman in the Consumer Law Center and an intern for the Honorable Judge Jeff Bohm, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, Southern District of Texas. Her legal practice focuses on representing the needs of banks, mortgage servicing companies and other lenders in various aspects of consumer financial services, including real estate and bankruptcy. She also works in the development of legal articles and presentations for various legal seminars.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, tennis and outdoor activities. She is also involved in the Houston Young Lawyers Association and the Houston Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers.
Kristen has expertise in the areas of real estate, probate, and bankruptcy law.
