Introduction

Nour Zeid is a PhD student from Alexandria, Egypt. She received her B.A. in Communication from Texas A&M University. She is studying the intersection between media and politics. She is currently interested in examining how narrative transportation, in its many forms, can be used to influence as well as change the audience’s attitudes toward a stigmatized group.  

Bio

Nour Zeid is a PhD student from Alexandria, Egypt. She received her B.A. in Communication from Texas A&M University. Her area of study revolves around media effects with an emphasis on persuasion and influence mechanisms, attitude formation, and attitude change in intercultural settings. She uses quantitative methods as well as content and big data analysis in her research. 

She has recently been examining narrative transportation as an influence mechanism and its effect on attitude change in political context. She has also been studying exposure to misinformation and pro/anti vaccine content on YouTube in Arabic.
