Sara Rowe earned her B.A. (2010) and M.A. (2012) in Communication from Texas A&M University. Inspired by bell hook’s concept of engaged pedagogy, Ms. Rowe’s teaching philosophy foregrounds authenticity, community, and self-actualization. Ms. Rowe has been an active member of the Communication Department’s Climate and Inclusion committee, which included acting as co-director for the 2015 Communicating Diversity Conference and director of the same conference in 2016. As of 2019, she is a member of the Faculty Senate. Also in 2019, Ms. Rowe served as co-director for the department’s basic course, Public Speaking. The role includes training and support for new graduate teaching assistants.

Ms. Rowe is a TMCA credentialed mediator with experience in civil and family mediation.
