My areas of research include culture-centered approach in health communication, community-based participatory research in addressing the needs of marginalized populations, and social constructivism approach to phenomena in popular and youth culture. I am currently researching on media’s role on constructing the meanings of and the gender scripts in non-committed relationships among young adults. I was a professional dancer before college.
