Trevor H. Gittelhough is an archaeologist, with over a decade of experience in various places and environments around the world. They received their BA from the University of California Santa Barbara in Archaeology in 2011, and his MA in Maritime Studies from the University of East Carolina in 2017.  Underwater and Indigenous archaeology are Mx. Gittelhough’s specialty, which is enhanced by his skill and experience in sailing, diving, and prehistoric technology construction. His research interests included early human migration, settlement patterns, and maritime technologies and practices. Of specific interest to Mx. Gittelhough is the identification of early migration routes of the First Americans, where he hopes to advance the methods and techniques for identifying these early sites on the continental shelf of the west coast of North America. The focus of his research is the use of geophysical and remote sensing technologies to identify and map sites submerged pre-contact sites.
