On November 11, 2019, Tomball Memorial High School held a College Knowledge Night, an event that gives Sophomores and Juniors the opportunity to interact with several college representatives. The Texas A&M Department of Economics was invited to this event and three ECON personnel were in attendance: Sofia Navarrete (Current ECON Student and President of the Texas A&M ECON Society), Paula Verdegaal (ECON Academic Advisor) and Kurt Felpel (Assistant Department Head)
On a cold, rainy night the A&M Economics representatives spoke to students, parents and families about the benefits of majoring in Economics and answered many questions about courses, high-impact experiences and careers in Economics.
