Family ties to Texas A&M:

I am a first generation Aggie!

I chose to attend Texas A&M because…

Texas A&M was known to have the best campus culture and an incredible economics department.

My favorite things to do on campus are…

I love studying in the annex and working out at the rec!

When I have free time, I like…

When I have free time I like to spend it watching movies or eating! I love trying new restaurants.

The craziest thing I’ve done is…

I got to visit the Tayrona National Park in Magdalena, Colombia. Which is a protected national park inhabiting the pueblito ruins built by the Tayrona civilization. We rode a bus, a boat, and walked from 4 AM to 10 AM to the most beautiful beach and got to eat the biggest and freshest fish I have ever had!

My favorite place to study is…

I love to study in the Annex, especially the private study rooms.

My favorite ECON professor is…

I have been so blessed with all of my professors here in the economics department. However, my favorite professors have been Dr. Naufal and Dr. Meer. They are incredibly compassionate and genuine professors who care about students and their success. They have encouraged and guided me in different points of my college career and even towards my path to law school by writing me letters of recommendation, with a disposition and a sense of care that amazed me. These professors are great educators, not just in the classes they teach but as mentors as well.

My favorite part of being an Economics student is…

The department as a whole: from my peers to the professors, advisors, and faculty. This department is blessed with passionate and influential people who are willing to help outside of the classroom as much as they do within it. I have formed the greatest relationships with people within this department and will cherish them forever.

If I could share an afternoon with anyone, I would love to share it with…

Maria Luisa Piraquive, she is an incredible leader and philanthropist who has helped so many people through her testimony and her organization.

If I knew I could not fail, I would…

I would become a competitive dancer.

If money was not a consideration, I would love to…

I would start an organization to help women all around the world receive all kinds of education and aid. From micro-financing businesses and helping women within their career paths, to helping prepare young girls in school and life, guiding them on the things they will see and likely experience further on.

What is your passion and how are you committed to pursuing it?

I am passionate about helping others as much as I can. I would like to become an attorney and starting an organization to help women in various capacities, like helping them find the resources and support they need to accomplish whatever “success” means to them.

After graduation, I plan to…

All I know as of right now is that I plan to attend law school!

The one Texas A&M experience I will always remember is…

Getting my Aggie ring and getting to take pictures in the ring with it finally on!
