Biography

Sarah Zubairy’s research is in empirical macroeconomics and monetary economics, with a particular focus on fiscal policy related issues. Her most recent work includes quantifying government spending multipliers for the U.S, in good versus bad times using historical data, investigating the effects of housing related tax policies on macroeconomic aggregates and comparing the relative effectiveness of monetary, fiscal and macro-prudential policies in addressing rising household indebtedness.
