Bio

Seon-Myung Yoo has a B.A. and an M.A. in English Language and Literature from Ewha Womans University, Korea and is now working toward her Ph.D. in the Department of English at Texas A&M. Her main interests are to explore 20th and 21st century literature through the theoretical lenses of postcolonialism, transnationalism, and cosmopolitanism. The themes that she focuses on in her research are historical conflicts, reconciliation, memory, and trauma above others. She is working to incorporate her passion in women and gender studies to her research.
