Undergraduate Research Highlight: Alexis Brasher

Highlighting Humanities Research and its Impact

The Glasscock Center is excited to highlight the humanities research of Alexis Brasher, a senior Texas A&M history major and 2024-25 Undergraduate Glasscock Scholar under Dr. Albert Broussard. The Undergraduate Glasscock Scholars program promotes undergraduate humanities research through a graduate-level summer research experience in collaboration with LAUNCH Undergraduate Research and the University Writing Center. Scholars attend a 40-hour seminar where they learn about specific research topics and research methodologies.

During the inaugural Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium (UHRS) in March, Alexis presented on the research that she pursued under the mentorship of Dr. Broussard. More information about Alexis's research and her involvement in the Museum of the American G.I. can be in the College of Arts and Sciences' recent feature, "The Fabric of History", along with their video feature of Alexis.
