Glasscock Cultural Enrichment and Campus Diversity Grant
Applications due by:
Any student, faculty or staff member employed by Texas A&M University is eligible to apply for the Glasscock Cultural Enrichment and Campus Diversity Grant. The purpose of this grant is to enhance the campus climate by nurturing collegiality, diversity, pluralism and the uniqueness of individuals through activities which include things like performances and speakers. This grant differs from the Co-Sponsorship Grant in that the focus is not necessarily strictly a scholarly presentation, but should fulfill the mission of creating learning through activities that foster multicultural enrichment. Active political campaigns will not be sponsored. Groups or individuals applying should make sure that activities do not discriminate against any individual in the campus community on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, or veteran status. Rather, the activity should foster the principles of academic freedom, equality of opportunity and human dignity. We ask that applicants for all Glasscock Center grants read our Climate and Inclusion Statement here. All activities should be free and open to the public. All activities should recognize the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research at Texas A&M in their publicity. If you need our logo for publicity materials, download it here.
Awards are $500 each and can be used for honoraria, publicity, and other normally reimbursable expenses. Funds must be used by May 31, 2024.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Complete the application form and include a current two-page c.v. (or equivalent document) for each presenter. Upload a completed signatures form, as well.
If you are unsure whether your activity is eligible for this grant, please email glasscock@tamu.edu with a brief description.
If you do not receive an email confirming receipt of the application from the Glasscock Center by the application deadline, please call (979) 845-8328 or email glasscock@tamu.edu.
Applicants are normally notified of award decisions by three weeks from the application deadline.
We recommend answering application questions in a Word document and saving it for your records before pasting it into our form for submission.
Upon form submission, you should be redirected to a confirmation screen and receive an automatic confirmation email. If you do not receive either of these, there may have been a problem with your form and you will need to resubmit.
If you have any questions, please call or email (979) 845-8328 or email glasscock@tamu.edu.
Applications will be considered incomplete until all information has been received, at which time an e-mail confirming receipt will be sent to you.
