Research Interests
Casey Ellisen is a third year Ph.D. student at Texas A&M with a focus on twentieth century American military and religious history. Her current research examines Korean War Eighth Army chaplains and how their presence on the frontlines influenced combat effectiveness and battlefield motivation. Previously, she studied the cooperative relationship between the US Army and American Protestant churches during World War I and how their work led to the modernization of the US Army Chaplain Corps.
