Research Interests
Sophia Rouse is a first year PhD student who graduated from the University of Memphis in 2022 with her BA in History and World Languages and Literatures (German). Her research interests include German immigration, the southeastern United States during the mid-19th and early 20th-centuries, identity, and ethnicity. Her current project explores the German-language press in New Orleans.
