About Us

There is one NAP faculty member and four full-time conservators who run the Conservation Research Laboratory. The conservators of the CRL are among the most experienced of any lab in the world, having conserved millions of artifacts from dozens of different archaeological sites. Along with our full time staff, the CRL employs students from Texas A&M University, typically from the Nautical Archaeology Program. We are also aided by several talented and dedicated individuals who volunteer their time to help conserve all kinds of artifacts. If you are interested in joining the volunteers at the CRL, please contact our lab manager.
