Facilities

The Department of Performance Studies is housed in the Texas A&M Liberal Arts and Humanities (LAAH) Building. Opened in 2013, the facility offers a state-of-the-art black box theater, recording studio, theater shops, rehearsal spaces, and a courtyard performance space–all of which give students extraordinary opportunities to develop their work as creative artists and scholars. LAAH is open from 6:30am to 10pm, Monday through Friday. Please consult the Reserving PERF Spaces Policy and LAAH’s Emergency Evacuation Plan for more information.

For PERF Room Reservations please submit a request on http://tx.ag/PERFreservations. After the request is submitted, we will reply from our perf@tamu.edu email address with questions and/or a confirmation.

For student access to card-swipe locks in the department, the PERF faculty member sponsoring the project should send the following information to perftech@tamu.edu: full names; UINs; rooms requested; dates of access; any special limitations on access hours (if needed); and the academic, professional (non-commercial), or Texas state business reason for the access. Rooms with sensitive equipment may require additional approval by the faculty or staff responsible for that area and may require an orientation session before independent access is granted.
