The goal of my research is to understand the influence of pervasive media multitasking in today’s culture on the structure of our mind and brain. Specifically, I am interested in the trade off between between serial and parallel processing, as well as divergent thinking and convergent thinking styles, and how this has been affected by our tendency to multitask. I am also interested in the relationship between age and media multitasking.
Additionally, I am also interested in examining how crucial anterior prefrontal brain regions are to multitasking using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and fMRI.
