Research Interests

I am interested in identifying contextual differences that are important for promoting emotionally positive outcomes for young children (infants, toddlers) and their mothers. Using a multi-method approach (self-report, EEG/ERP, standardized behavioral paradigms, cortisol), my work has focused on three domains: (a) biological and contextual pathways for child development, (b) perinatal period as a sensitive developmental period, and (c) basic science efforts of EEG/ERP to illuminate early developmental processes.
