RISE Conference 2021 Call for Papers
The Texas A&M Race, Identity & Social Equity (RISE) Program Committee invites proposals for the fourth annual conference that will take place virtually on Thursday and Friday, March 25-26, 2021. We welcome proposals for panels, individual papers, workshops, and alternative session formats that allow for audience participation and community engagement in a virtual format. We encourage submissions from undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff that would like to present research focused in the RISE areas. The RISE initiative provides a year-long research opportunity for undergraduate students at Texas A&M, culminating with presentations of the research at the RISE Conference. The RISE Conference also seeks to provide an opportunity for a campus wide discussion around significant issues of race, identity, and social equity on campus, in the nation, and on a global scale. To learn more about the RISE initiative please visit our webpage at http://dms.tamu.edu/diversity/tamu-rise/
