Biography

I’m a Rhetorical theory-focused critic studying conflict reporting and propaganda on collective memory formation. I want to find out who, how and why conflict reporting and propaganda, before and after social media and current AI tools, shaped the progression of Argentina’s—Latin America in general—collective memory formation from the 80s military dictatorships to 21st-century populist democracies.

I draw on rhetorical frameworks, as well as critical theory approaches, to analyze the impact of neoliberalism and AI on media practices and collective memory formation, especially in the context of conflict reporting and conflict propaganda.

I’m a doctoral student in Communication, coming from International Studies. Originally from Argentina, I lived in Madrid, Spain, before landing in Texas for my PhD. I am fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese—learning French. I ask hard questions, looking at both sides of the coin, employing use-inspired basic research; who benefits? Who is endangered, and why?
