Biography

Proudly Ghanaian and Fante, Ivylove Cudjoe is a doctoral student with the Department of Global Languages and Cultures. She loves to study languages and the cultures that influences these languages. She holds a master’s degree in Hispanic Studies from Western Michigan University. Her investigation interests include life experiences of Black, Latino and Afrolatino groups, Women Studies and the intersectionality of gender, race and class on minority groups, el curanderismo and its connections with environmental philosophy. She has a passion for poetry and enjoys organizing poetry events as well.
