Biography

Tori Copeland is a second-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Texas A&M University. In May 2024, she graduated summa cum laude, earning her B.A in Psychology and Spanish Language from Loyola University Maryland. Her research broadly centers on identity development and intersectionality, with a specific focus on race, gender, and sexual orientation within marginalized populations. She is particularly interested in how psychological and cultural variables interact to shape experiences of emotional regulation, identity formation, and mental health outcomes among LGBTQ African American and Latinx communities.

Her work is grounded in a desire to elevate culturally responsive practices in both research and clinical settings, and she hopes to contribute to the conversation in psychological well-being of communities that are often overlooked.
