Bio

Dr. Linneman was born and raised in a rural area in north central Missouri. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and a Master’s Degree in Community Development, both from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

She earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from Iowa State University in 1985. Her dissertation was entitled “The structure and correlates of Iowans’ attitudes about farm animal welfare issues: A LISREL approach.”

Dr. Linneman joined the Sociology faculty at Texas A&M University in 1986. Her teaching responsibilities have included Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Social Research Methods, The Marriage Institution, Teaching Undergraduate Sociology, and undergraduate and graduate professional development seminars. She also serves as the faculty representative for the Texas A&M Iota Chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, the Sociology Honor Society.
