Bio

Marla Sarmiento (she/her/hers) is the lab manager in the MD Lab and a recent graduate from Texas A&M University. She is working towards gaining research experience and assists Dr. Midgette closely in recruitment of participants and building connections within the BCS community. She is currently in the process of applying to graduate school programs for a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology focusing on child maltreatment and its effects on development. When she is not working, she enjoys embroidery, reading, playing with her two dogs (a poodle named Bacon and an Irish-Norfolk terrier named Charlie), cooking, and learning how to bake.
