2016 Racial Segregation Conference
The Texas Research Data Center, Texas A&M University, and the Program for the Study of Ethnicity, Race and Culture at the Kinder Institute at Rice University hosted a one-day conference focused on innovations in the measurement and analysis of racial segregation in the United States on Friday, September 16, 2016, the day after the FSRDC Annual Research Conference.
The Texas Research Data Center (TXRDC) is supported by a multi-university consortium involving Texas A&M University, the Texas A&M University System, Baylor University, Rice University, The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas at San Antonio.
The 2016 Racial Segregation Conference included presentations by innovative researchers currently affiliated with TXRDC Consortium Institutes, including Jenifer Bratter, Mark Fossett, Junia Howell, Elizabeth Korver-Glenn, and Heather O’Connell.
Internationally renowned historical demographer, Dr. Steven Ruggles, also made a presentation titled “New Spatially Referenced Microdata.” Here is a copy of selected slides from Dr. Ruggles’ presentation.
