Meet Our New Director: Dr. Mary Campbell!
Dr. Mary Campbell
Mary is the new Texas FSRDC Director. She is also the co-director of the NSF-funded summer Research Experience for Undergraduates program in the Sociology department. She has been in the Sociology department at Texas A&M since 2013, when she moved here from the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on racial and ethnic inequality and the measurement of racial and ethnic categories on surveys. Her work focuses on inequality within and between categories, with a special focus on individuals and families who cross racial boundaries.
Mary is a fan of science fiction, board games, and movies, not necessarily in that order. She lives with a wonderful partner who curates the science fiction collection at TAMU and with one very lazy cat, Clara.
