Diversifying the Federal Data Ecosystem Virtual Event

Interested in how data can advance equity for your community?

Want to understand the critical importance of equity in federal statistics and how diverse perspectives can lead to more inclusive and effective data collection and analysis?

Come join us for a virtual fireside chat with senior government officials about careers and leadership in public data. You will also have the opportunity to hear about the range of career opportunities that exist and tips for advancing a career in public data.

Diversifying the Federal Data Ecosystem

Hosted by the James F. Holmes Future Inclusion and Equitable Leadership Development (Holmes-FIELD) Initiative and the Census Quality Reinforcement (CQR) Task Force

Featured speakers include:

Public data like the census can drive more equitable outcomes for underserved communities, and there are opportunities for future leaders from diverse backgrounds to get a seat at the table. The Holmes-FIELD Initiative works to make that happen because we believe that the decision-makers in the federal statistical system should reflect the diversity of our nation.

This virtual event is a follow up to an in-person event we held last year. That event led to network building, opportunity sharing, and raw, honest conversation. It was co-sponsored by the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality (GCPI), the Interagency Council on Statistical Policy (ICSP), and the Office of Science and Technology (OSTP). We are delighted to welcome attendees from the first convening and some new faces to this virtual “part two.”
