Call for Submissions

Conference date: Friday, May 16th, 2024

Submission deadline: January 31st, 2025

The Population Research Center (PRC) at UT Austin will host its third annual TEXPOP Conference on Friday, May 16th, 2025, from 9 am to 4 pm. This conference is an opportunity for population scholars to present their current research and to connect with researchers working on similar topics. All members of the PRC community, including external faculty affiliates and their students, are welcome to submit (travel funds are available for those based outside Austin). The last two conferences were a great success and we hope you can join us!

This year, we are inviting submissions for two formats:

  1. short talks of up to 15 minutes; and
  2. posters (reusing PAA posters is welcome).

Each presenter is allowed one submission for which they will be the presenter.

Please upload a single .pdf that includes the following information:

  • Presenter name
  • Presenter university
  • Presenter department
  • Presenter email
  • Names and affiliations of co-authors
  • Paper title (up to 60 characters and spaces)
  • Abstract (up to 250 words)

Submissions can be made through this online form. The deadline for submissions is 5 pm CT on Friday January 31st, 2025.

Feel free to reach out to PRC Director Liz Gershoff (liz.gershoff@austin.utexas.edu) if you have any questions.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and to seeing you in May!
