Research Project

Tori completed her BA in Anthropology at Georgia Southern University in 2016 and her MA in Anthropology at East Carolina University in 2022. She joined the Center for the Study of the First Americans in 2024 with the goal of studying early human-environmental interactions in the highlands of the central Peruvian Andes with Dr. Kurt Rademaker. Her doctoral research focus is in the application of soil micromorphology to examine site formation processes in high elevation rockshelters. Additionally, her research interests include mobility and settlement during the Late Pleistocene and early Holocene in the Americas, GIS, and paleoenvironmental reconstruction. Tori has previous experience in Cultural Resource Management, focusing on terrestrial surveys and excavations throughout the United States.
