CFP (Participants): Join the ACH 2024 Planning Team
The Association for Computers and the Humanities (ACH) is seeking people to join their planning team for the virtual ACH 2024 conference. They are seeking a Program Lead, Communications Lead, Volunteers Lead, Registration Lead, Sponsorship and Promotion Lead, and Regional Hubs Lead. The ACH is offering free conference registration in gratitude for taking one of those roles.
- Program Lead (now, through the conference): Shape the CFP for the conference, oversee the peer review process, and oversee the process of selecting proposals. You would have 2-3 folks helping you with these tasks.
- Communications Lead (now, through the conference): Develop a plan to share information about the conference, work with the Communications Officer to schedule dissemination of content, and create messages to be disseminated during the conference.
- Volunteers Lead (3 months leading up to the conference): Find volunteers to serve as moderators and technical chairs during the conference, relying on our attendee lists and through ACH membership.
- Registration Lead (3 months leading up to the conference): Manage the registration process for the conference.
- Sponsorship and Promotion Lead (6 months leading up to the conference): Work with sponsors and potential sponsors, manage the virtual book exhibit for the conference
- Regional Hub Lead (6-8 months leading up to the conference): We are inviting members to host local events to coincide with the conference. This is an opportunity to shape what that would look like and when it would happen in relation to the conference schedule.
