Biography

Mariana Rodriguez is a Doctoral Candidate with the Department of Communication & Journalism at Texas A&M University. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Organizational Communication in Transnational Settings from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas. As an organizational communication scholar/researcher, she specializes in critical approaches to communication. Her research interests bring together the fields of organizational communication, race and ethnic studies, and higher education. Mariana is particularly interested in exploring Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) and the ways in which race is articulated/addressed within them.
