2024 Data-Intensive Research Conference
Abstract submissions are open for the 2024 Data-Intensive Research Conference, to be held in-person in Minneapolis, MN July 31-August The 2024 conference theme is Harnessing the Power of Linked Data to Study Aging. We are interested in a broad range of aging and life course processes and conceive of linking broadly – see the call for proposals. Abstract deadline is February 1.
Applications are also open for a pre-conference workshop, held July 29-30. The workshop will provide training on linked data from IPUMS with tracks explicitly focused on linkages using IPUMS MEPS data and linking full count data from IPUMS respectively.
The conference is organized by the NDIRA initiative, a collaboration between University of Minnesota Life Course Center and IPUMS.
Conference and workshop registration are free, and the organizers are offering travel support to a limited number of participants with emphasis on supporting scholars who are early career, outside of R1 institutions, and/or self-identify as belonging to systemically excluded groups in the social sciences.
