Dear colleagues,
Mark your calendars! In just one week from today, May 1st, the Criminal Justice Administrative Records System (CJARS) is launching a game-changing data product, the Justice Outcomes Explorer (JOE). JOE is an online data dashboard that was built to reshape research and statistical reporting on the U.S. criminal justice system. Millions of statistics that have never been produced up until this point will be at your fingertips. A few examples include: employment, earnings, and mortality of individuals that came into contact with the justice system. But that is just a taste of what will be available, there will be plenty more! Here is what Nancy Rodriguez, former director of the National Institute of Justice, had to say about JOE: |
We will also be hosting a webinar for interested users on June 5th which will be moderated by The Marshall Project. Registration will open on May 1st.
We hope you can join us! |
