The Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theatre performances 'In Syndication'.

Join us on Saturday, April 1 at 7PM in Rudder Auditorium for a live dance performance by the Social Movement Contemporary Dance (SMCD). The SMCD promotes social consciousness through creative arts and community engagement. Their original work, Movements: New & Revised, consists of three works, ‘In Syndication’, ‘The Culture’, and ‘We the People’.

‘In Syndication’ brings awareness to the realities for people who live with depression, in addition to the danger that lies in its many myths and misconceptions. ‘The Culture’ honors the lineage of Hip Hop through expression of its five pillars (breakdancing, MCing, DJing, graffiti, and knowledge) to spread the message of equality. ‘We The People’ conveys Gibson’s observations of what happens when the world’s harsh truths interrupt people’s daily lives and they respond by demanding change.

This dance performance is free for Texas A&M students, faculty and staff with university ID. General admission tickets are $10.00. Get your tickets using this link: bit.ly/3mUai8S
