NSF REU Site: Research Institute in Sociology and Social Inequality – Applications
The Texas A&M Sociology Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) offers summer fellowships to do world class research.
This program is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) under grant #1757813.
2020 Cohort Application
- The 2020 application will be available in Fall 2019.
NSF program guidelines stipulate that students must be US Citizens or permanent residents and be working toward a four-year degree (graduating December 2020 or later). In addition, our program requires that students have the support and endorsement of a home campus faculty mentor. Your home campus faculty mentor may be a tenured or untenured faculty member who is willing to support you after you return to your campus. Ideally, you should choose a mentor who has experience with research, publication, presentation, and applications to graduate school in the social sciences.
To apply, you will need to complete an application (which will be available here Fall 2020). Be ready to upload a copy of your transcript(s), a writing sample, and the email address of a faculty member at your university who is willing to serve as your home campus mentor and willing to write you a letter of recommendation.
Faculty mentors should upload their letter of recommendation here (link will be available Fall 2020).
