Research Interests

My main research interests are within modern American diplomatic/political history with special attention to the evolution of the modern conservative movement. Particularly, I seek to study conservative support of Taiwan during the latter half of the 20th century. An emerging secondary area of interest concerns the conflicts between the interventionist and isolationist factions of the GOP.
