Co-Sponsorship Grant

 Applications due by:

October 6, 2022
November 3, 2022
March 1, 2023

ABOUT: The Glasscock Center supports the humanities at Texas A&M University by co-sponsoring public lectures and performances with a scholarly component by visitors from outside the university who engage with research in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. We also encourage applications which connect with diverse communities through publicly engaged scholarship. Requests of up to $1000 may be made. Funds must be used by May 31, 2024. Events will not be funded retroactively. We ask that applicants for all Glasscock Center grants read our Climate and Inclusion Statement here.

ELIGIBILITY: Faculty, graduate students and undergraduates may submit requests for Co-sponsorship Grants. Applicants should verify that their event does not conflict with the dates of major Center events by checking with our web calendar prior to the submission of an application (the Center will not fund events that conflict with our Book Prize Lecture, Buttrill Ethics Events or other major symposia or lectures). Priority may be given to applicants who have not received funding through this program in the past year. Events must be free and open to the public to be eligible. All publicity must acknowledge the sponsorship of “The Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research.” If you need our logo for publicity materials, download it here.

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS: Please upload a c.v. (or equivalent documentation) for the proposed presenter(s) along with the required signatures form as a PDF.

Applications will be considered incomplete until all information has been received, at which time an e-mail confirming receipt will be sent to you.

Events for which funding requests are made must take place after the relevant decision announcement. Retroactive requests will not be considered.

Applicants are normally notified of award decisions by three weeks from the application deadline.

We recommend answering application questions in a Word document and saving it for your records before pasting it into our form for submission.
