In the name of God Amen I Edward Yates of Port Royall in the Island of Jamaica Victualler being in perfecte memory Doe make this my last Will & Testament in manner and forme following (Vizt) Impimis I give and bequeath my soul to God Almighty & my body to the Earth, if it shall please him to take me out of this world, Item I give and bequeath all my whole estate both personal and reall either in this land or any other wheresoever both in houses Lands Moneys goods or Chattles what is or shall be found due to me from any person or persons whatsoever unto my dearely beloved wife that now is Mary Yates unto her owne proper use and behoofe whom I leave my Executrix of this my last Will & Testament In Wittnesse where I have sett my hand and seale this Twenty sixth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord 1670

Sealed & delivered in the presence of Dan: Jones, Samuel Paddy, Memo . Es that on the Tenth day of October anno Dom 1677 Samuel Paddy appeared before me & made oath that hee was present when Edward Yates deceased (being of sound and pfect memory) signed & sealed the within written Will and published the same to be his last Will & Testament Sworne before me
