Entered May 3, 1675

In the name of God Amen I John Hardicke being sick and weake in body but in pfecte memory doe make this my last Will & Testament in mann & forme as followes Imprimis I bequeath my soule to God my maker and my body to ye Earth to receive Christian buriall 2 I doe give & bequeath unto my Grand Child John Batterree Twoe hundred & Tenne Acres of Land lyeing in the psh of St Thomas bounding North on Richard Deane & unsurveyed Land West on unsurveyed Land, an Northerly on a pcell of landing belonging to myselfe and unsurveyed Land as ye pattent will appeare bearing date the one & twentieth of December 1674. 3 I doe give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Hardicke all other my Estate (my debts and funerall expences being first discharged) both psonall & reall to her & her heires forever I doe ordeyne by loveing Sonne Edward Battery and my loveing friend Edward Attenbury (?) to be my true and lawfull Executor to see this my last will & Testament pformed. In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this 24th of Aprill 1675

Bee it remembered that ye word Tenne was interlyned before signing and sealing

Memorand that on the third day of May Anno Dom 1675 Thomas Dearre (?) and Christian Chadduke (?) came before me and made Oath that they were psent and did see John Hardicke being of sound & perfecte memory sign & seale & deliver the within written will and publish and declare itt to bee his last Will & Testament
