In the name of God amen January Nine & Twentieth anns Dom 1680 and sounding
To ye cantipicon of the Church of England I Samuel Alexander of parish of St. Davids
On of this island aforesaid gent. being weake of body but of sound & perfect mind & memory
Thanks be given to almighty God herefore doe make ordaine & constitute this my last will & test.
In traditional forme following imprints I bequeth my soule into the hands of almight God that
Give it on dying to be saved by of muitonious death and passion my only savior & redeemer
Jesus Christ and my body to ye earth to be decently interred according to ye disoucon of any
Execuhiy hereafter named and as suche world estate as God that bin pleased to blesse me
with all after my debts paid and my funeral expenses discharged I give & bequeth as follows , him
I give and bequeth unto my well beloved wife Sarah Alexander my house wherein I now live Utauk
I being in of parish of St. Davids in of island aforesaid for her to dwell him during life
Him I give unto my said wife her horses by name Rouston Harry and a negroe boy called
Henry (I say) sonne of a negroe woman called Whan with all ye furniture as beds chaires dishes
Lynen yea belonging to ye house before unto her bequeathed to have hold occupy possess & enjoy ye
aforesaid Negroes & horses with ye furniture of ye house before mencioned to her & her heirs for ever

I due hereby publish and ordaine my dear wife Sara Alexander my posrper here unto my whole
Estate I do these present ordaine that whatsoever I have herein before bequethe unto my
Said son Samuel upon his dying wishes of age of one & twenty yeares as is aforesaid if it
Shall so happen shall be dound & fall unto my wife Sarah Alexander as aforesaid to have &
Hold occupy prosper & enjoy of same to her and her heirs & assignes for ever and further it is my
Will that if it shall so fall that both my sons shall dye before he attaine unto of age
Aforesaid and my wife also without isoue that then I do hereby publish that it is my
Will and desire that my dear sister Jane Alexander do prosper my whole estate remain
Ing to enjoy the same to her and her heirs for ever and lastly it is my further ill & pleasure
And I do hereby constitute and appoint my well beloved wife Sarah Alexander my sole
Executor of this my last will and testament during her life but if it should so happen that
My deare wife should dye before my son Samuel shall arrive at age aforesaid
Then I do hereby ordaine my good friend Celment Richardson esq. & lieut. James
Lobby joynt executor of this my last will and testament I desire you to see my perticuler
Request herein bequeathed justly & duly performed I do hereby revoke all former
Wills & testaments by one formerly made me that none shall remaine in force but
Only this In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale of day & yeare

Memor and ye 12th day of april anos don 1681 appeared then before me Peter Mounte
Calt Rich Hayword & William stone and being duly sworned upon ye hereby evangelists
made oath that they were present and saw ye writin testan Samuel
Alexander sign seale & publish & declare being these of sound &b perfect memory
Ye written instrument to be his last will &testam sworne before me Henry Morgan
