Members of faculty thoroughly consider complete application packets (and interview performance) using the holistic admission review process as each component of the application is important. Holistic admissions also enable the strengths in some areas to offset weaknesses in others. Admission to the MSIOP program is based on the applicant’s academic background, test scores, related research and applied experience, and relevant skills and accomplishments that demonstrate the potential for excellence.
Note that meeting the program’s standards does not guarantee admission to the program. Admission to the program is based on a number of factors, including the previously listed requirements, the composition of the applicant pool, and incoming cohort size restrictions.
Fall 2022 applications open on December 20th, 2021. The deadline for the complete application packet to be received is February 1st for international applicants and February 15th for U.S. applicants. All components of your application, including letters of recommendations, must be on file by this deadline. The Office of Graduate and Professional Studies offers the Avilés-Johnson [Diversity] Fellowship to incoming graduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants who wish to be considered for nomination must have a complete application on file by January 14th and include justification related to their eligibility in their application. Please do not ask to be nominated for this fellowship as the program makes this determination internally.
- Official tuition and fee rates for each academic year can be found at tuition.tamu.edu. The website also includes a guide for estimating the total cost of attending Texas A&M University as a Texas resident or non-resident student.
- There is a $3500 program fee for each of the four semesters enrolled (including the summer semester). This is in addition to the tuition and general fees listed on the tuition.tamu.edu website.
- Please keep in mind that pursuing a graduate degree is an investment in your future and the accelerated nature of the program makes it relatively affordable.
