No. We cannot guarantee you a job. However, we anticipate many internships experiences will turn into full-time job opportunities and strong relationships will develop to facilitate job placement.

Majority of our students go into I-O psychology-related roles. Yes. All students must complete a minimum of a full-time internship in a related to context. Alternative timelines (e.g., 6 months, part-time) will be considered on a case-by-case basis and approved by the Director of the Program. We anticipate most students will complete their internship in the summer between their first and second year.

Yes, as long as it meets the requirements stated in the MSIOP-Handbook and is approved by the Director.

We anticipate most students will complete internships in the local area, as well as Houston, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, and San Antonio; however, students are not limited to completing their internship in these locations.

Yes. Hands-on learning are an essential part of the MSIOP experience and the program places an emphasis on applied skill acquisition and development. Students develop these skills by completing I-O psychology projects for local organizations through their courses and occasionally through non-coursework opportunities. Local organizations students have completed applied course projects for include the following: Aggieland Outfitters, Brazos Valley CASA, Brazos Valley Food Bank, Brazos Valley Marketing, City of Bryan, City of College Station, Family Promise, Mathnasium, Ment Services, MHMR of Brazos Valley, QuestSpecialty, Scotty’s House, and TAMU HROE Division.
