The Honors program in Psychology provides opportunities for individualized and advanced work for the academically distinguished (3.5 GPR and above) undergraduate psychology major. This 21-hour program is designed to provide students with several benefits. Students will have an opportunity to enroll in small classes comprised of other outstanding undergraduates. Classes will be taught by some of the best instructors in the department and students will have numerous opportunities to become directly involved with ongoing research projects directed by psychology faculty. Students who complete the program will graduate with the Psychology Honors distinction. The program is likely to be of particular value to students contemplating graduate study in psychology. For more information on how to be admitted to our Honors program and the specific requirements involved, please contact the Honors Coordinator, Stephanie Thomsen.
In addition to Psychology Honors, students can earn University and College-level Honors distinctions.
