Fall 2020 Advising Procedures
All advising will be conducted virtually until further notice. You may reach an advisor using one of the following methods:

DROP-INS (current students): Monday – Thursday; 9:00 – 11:00am, via Zoom. Please join the appropriate waiting room based on your advising needs. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Students must join a room by 10:45am to be seen
**Please limit drop-ins to 15 minutes

*Requesting a PSYC minor: Please DO NOT schedule an appointment. Instead, email email@example.com with your full name and UIN to inquire about and/or request a PSYC minor.
**Adding PSYC 484/485/491 contracts: Please DO NOT schedule an appointment. Instead, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, UIN, and completed form.
APPOINTMENTS (current students): Monday – Thursday; 1:30 – 4:00pm, via Zoom. Please visit https://tamu.campus.eab.com/home to schedule your advising appointment. Once your appointment has been made, please use the link provided by the advisor to access your appointment at your scheduled time. Zoom can also be accessed through the icon on your Howdy portal, mobile app, or telephone.
IN-PERSON ADVISING APPOINTMENTS (current students): In-person advising appointments must be requested in advance and are held on Tuesdays in the Coke Building. These advising appointments are for extenuating circumstances and are conducted by a variety of departmental advisors. In other words, there is no guarantee that you will meet with a PSYC or NRSC-BCN advisor.
If you have concerns specific to psychology or neuroscience (BCN track), you should instead schedule a virtual appointment with our advising office using the link provided in the appointments section above. In-person appointments are not for prospective student advising, please see below for details.
Students who are ill or who have recently been ill must not request an in-person advising meeting. Student and advisor are required to wear face coverings and must practice social distancing.
To request, please fill out the form at: https://forms.gle/iFKMNG3LxMVg3R1C9. This form must be submitted by Friday at 10 a.m. (CST) the week before your requested appointment. Your request will be reviewed and an email will be sent to your @tamu.edu account with further information.
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND VISITORS: Schedule a virtual appointment at https://recruiter.tamu.edu/portal/laah_virtual_appts. Appointments are Monday and Wednesdays from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. All appointments will be conducted via Zoom. If you have questions, please email email@example.com. HIGHLY REQUESTED FORMS AND INFORMATION
