The Department of Economics at Texas A&M University is sad to report that Distinguished Professor Emeritus Thomas R. Saving passed away yesterday. Tom joined the Texas A&M University faculty in 1968, and was both a Distinguished Professor of Economics and Director of the Private Enterprise Research Center. His was a long and illustrious career, and he continued to work on monetary policy issues until his recent hospitalization. He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 21, at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station.
