Texas A&M Student Research Week Award Winner – Josh Hillman
Josh Hillman takes home two awards at the Texas A&M Student Research Week.
The Department of Economics is proud to announce that Josh Hillman (BS and MS ECON student) took home two awards during the Texas A&M Student Research Week (18-21 March, 2024)
Josh presented his research thesis “”Guardians of Prosperity and Development: Unraveling the Nexus Between Constitutional Property Rights and Foreign Direct Investment.”
He was awarded First Prize in the Oral Presentation competition within the Human Development, Education & Liberal Arts category.
He was subsequently awarded the prestigious Melbern G. Glasscock Humanities Award – which recognizes the best undergraduate oral presentation across all subject area categories and emphasizes the interdisciplinary scope of his project, exploring the profound complexities of human experience.
Josh’s faculty advisors, Dr. Natalya Pakhotina and Dr. Chelsea Strickland provided guidance and support for Josh in preparation for this competition.
